How Poppy, a new restaurant in the heart of the East Village, spread awareness while building community

the problem

Social presence felt like a generic food page, missing the vibe, community feel, and social proof needed to drive foot traffic.

the Solution

Built a TikTok + Instagram Engine: 2 IG posts/week, 3 TikToks/week, and optimized stories - curated to highlight vibe, menu, and real experiences aligned with the East Village demographic.

Results

  • Generated 122,167 total views and 6,228 interactions (+242%) in ~2 months- shifting perception from an empty venue to a social, community-driven East Village destination. 
  • Built measurable audience momentum with +232 followers (+5.3%) and 3,396 profile visits, signaling increased local awareness, intent, and consideration. 
  • TikTok emerged as the primary discovery channel, driving Likes +348%, Comments +141%, Shares +4,643%, and Total interactions +1,710%, consistently pushing Poppy to new, high-fit audiences.
